Agent/Studio Activation (Standalone License)

This document aims to give you a step-by-step instruction on how to activate akaBot Studio & Agent for STANDALONE license. 

STANDALONE license is provided through akaBot License Management System and is activated directly without needing akaBot Center.

(Please note that akaBot Studio and Agent have the same activation method.)

Before you start:

• If your akaBot Studio computer (device A) has an active internet connection, you can use Online Activation method for a convenient and quick activation.
• If your akaBot Studio computer is unable to connect to the Internet, use Offline activation method. To activate successfully, you need to ensure:
  1. Have another Internet-connected device (device B) to get license file from akaBot license management system.
  2. Have connection between device A and device B to transfer license file from device B to device A.

Step 1: Open akaBot Studio / akaBot Agent

If you have successfully installed akaBot, you should find akaBot Studio & Agent shortcuts on

your desktop. Open the component you want to activate. An Activation prompt will show up.

Step 2: Choose an Activation Method

Since you have a STANDALONE license, please choose “LMS (License Management System)”

as the activation method. Click “Next”.

Step 3: Choose an Activation Type

There are 2 types of Activation: Online and Offline. You can choose either one to continue.

3.1. Online Activation

Choose “Online Activation”. Click “Next”. The Online Activation prompt will show up.

Please follow the guideline on the prompt to fill out the necessary information. You will need:

1. License Server: https://aegis.akabot.com/

2. License Key: Please enter the license key provided in the Licensing Email.

3. Network Options (Optional): If you use Proxy Server, please open fill in the Proxy Info under

Network Options.

 Hit button “Activate”. After successful activation, akaBot Studio shows below message.

If below error message appears, please check your network connection

(If you see other error message, feel free to contact our akaBot Support team)

3.2. Offline Activation

Choose “Offline Activation”. Click “Next”. The 4-step Offline Activation Wizard will show up.

Step 1: Enter the License Key provided in the Licensing Email. 

Click “Next”

Step 2: Send Activation Request to Activation Server. 

The Activation Request is the text generated in the below textbox. Copy & send this to a computer with Internet Access. Click “Next” .

Step 3: Go to https://aegis.akabot.com/#/activation 

Paste the Activation Request you have copied from Step 2 in the box under “Enter Activation Request”. 

Select the Captcha. Then Click “Download File” . 

You will receive a text file named Activate.txt. This is the Activation Response. Go back to the Activation Wizard below. Click “Next”.

Step 4: Enter Activation Response. 

There are 2 ways to do this.

1. Open the Activate.txt file you have downloaded in Step 3. Copy & paste the Activation Response

into the Activation Response box.

2. Click on button [...]. Navigate to Activate.txt file.

Click “Activate”.

If you see the prompt below, you have successfully activated akaBot Studio / akaBot Agent.
