Center & Agent/Studio Activation (Network License)

This document aims to give you a step-by-step instruction on how to install akaBot Studio, Agent & Center for NETWORK license. 

NETWORK license is provided as a package with 1 Center License and a quota on the number of Studio & Agent licenses. Instead of activating from central license management system, you can generate, activate and manage Studio & Agent licenses from your akaBot Center.

Before you start:

1. Once signing up for a Network license, you will receive 2 installation packages: one for Center  and

one for Agent & Studio (here).

2. Download and install the components according to each installation guideline.

3. After successful installation of both akaBot Center and akaBot Platform, proceed to the license activation.

You will need the key provided in the Licensing email to activate your akaBot Center.

4. After successful activation of akaBot Center, move on to activating akaBot Studio & Agent. License keys

for Studio & Agent can be acquired from akaBot Center.

Below are detailed instructions on the activation of akaBot Center & akaBot Platform (Studio & Agent).

I. Activate akaBot Center

Step 1: Open Internet Explorer (IE) browser. Navigate to akaBot Center using your Center URL. After successful login, proceed to the Administration tab. Choose License option in the dropdown. 

Step 2: Click the Add License button. The Activation window will show up. 

Step 3: Fill in the License Key field with the License Key you received from the licensing email.

Step 4: Click Generate. An Activation Request code is generated.

Step 5: Click the Copy button to copy the Activation Request code.

Step 6 : Sent the Activation Request code to a computer with Internet access.

Step 7: On the computer with Internet access, navigate to https://aegis.akabot.io/#/activation

Step 8: Paste the Activation Request code (generated in Step 5) in the Activation Request field and

click the Download File button. The Activation Response code is generated and downloaded as a

text file named “Active.txt”.

Step 9: Return to akaBot Center. Choose the Activate tab.

Step 10: Choose and upload “Active.txt” that generated form Step 8

Step 11: Click on Activate button

After successful activation, you will see the License Screen similar to below.

II. Activate akaBot Studio/Agent

(Please note that akaBot Studio and Agent have the same activation method.)

Step 1: Open akaBot Studio / akaBotAgent 

Make sure that you fulfilled these requirements before activating your akaBot Studio & Agent: 

1. Install and activate license akaBot Center successfully 

2. Install akaBot Platform (Agent & Studio) successfully 

3. Acquire the the generated key from akaBot Center to activate your akaBot Agent & Studio. 

The key is available on License tab on akaBot Center: 

Step 2: Choose an Activation Method

Since you have a NETWORK license, please choose “akaBot Center” as the activation method. Click“Next”.

Step 3: Activate license 

A dialog will showup as below.

Please fill out the necessary information to activate. You will need:

- Center URL: Please insert the URL of your akaBot Center

- License Key: Please enter the license key generated from akaBot Center (Step 1)

- Network Options (Optional): If you use Proxy Server, please open fill in the Proxy Info under

Network Options.

Click “Activate”.

If you see the prompt below, you have successfully activated akaBot Studio/Agent.
