Starting with akaBot Studio 2.2.0.3, the ability to manage activities independently by category has been added. If you want to use activities other than the default ones, you will need to install them yourself.

Here we will show you how to add, delete, and update activities.

t1. Default activities installed at installation

When you install Studio/Agent, the following activity categories are included by default:

  • RPA.Activities.Core
  • RPA.Activities.NativeBrowser
  • RPA.Activities.Excel
  • RPA.Activities.Windows

2. Activities in the Package Manager

You can add it from "Package Manager" at the top of the screen.

Click “Package Manager” at the top of the Studio screen.

When the Package Manager opens, click Local.

The activities that start with "RCA" are provided for akaBots.

You can also check the availability of activity categories.

Yellow-green "↓" mark + version

Activities already acquired (versions listed have been acquired)

Red "X" mark + version

Activity that failed to obtain (Failed to obtain the version stated)

Orange clock mark + version

The activity you are about to get (the version you will get)

Version only

Unclaimed Activities (Shows available versions)

If you add or remove activities in Package Manager and save the settings, the changes will be reflected after you restart Studio.

3. How to add an activity

Here are the steps to add an activity:

Make sure the orange clock symbol appears.

You can get multiple activity categories at once. Select the activity you want and click "Install" repeatedly.

Select the activities you want to earn and click "Save."

Extensions.Http have disappeared.

5. How to update your activity

If you upgrade your akaBot Studio version, any new projects you create will include activities from the new version, but existing projects will remain at the version they were last saved at.

If you want to update an activity package version in an existing project, you need to update it from the Package Manager.

The process is the same as adding an activity.

Open the akaBot Studio Package Manager and select the activity name for which you want to update the version. If you select "Project Dependencies" at this time, only the activities of the currently open project will be displayed.

Make sure that the latest version is displayed in the version drop-down menu to the left of the "Update" button in the upper right, and then click the "Update" button.

Confirm that the new version is displayed with an orange clock icon. If you want to update multiple activities, repeat the steps above.

After that, click the "Save" button at the bottom right of the screen and restart akaBot Studio, and the activity will become the new version.

6.Points to note

If you do not click the "Save" button in Package Manager, the acquisition or removal process will not be carried out.

Therefore, if the red "X" mark appears and you want to reinstall it, you will need to follow the steps below.

  1. Select the activity with the red "X" and click "Uninstall"
  2. Click "Save" and restart akaBot Studio
  3. Select the activity you selected in step 1 and click "Install"
  4. Click "Save" and restart akaBot Studio

Please be careful that if you skip step 2 above, the process will not be performed correctly.
